I have a mobile phone that sychronises with Outlook. I currently file my vast
number of contacts in (sub) folders - that way I can easily select from
specific groups when I send an e-mail by selecting the "TO" field, then
select a subfolder in the contacts pull down menu, then select who I want to
send it to from that group.
Unfortunately the mobile phone (Sony Ericsson P900) only syncs with the
master list not a series of sub folders.
I tried also organising my contacts by Categories, but that does not sort
them when you send an e-mail and I need to find specific people within groups
as per my description above. When I have 400+ contacts it gets a bit messy
and easy to overlook someone.
If I duplicate the contacts in the master list AND subfolders I have to
remember to update both and my phone won't do it automatically defeating the
reason for using the synchro feature.
