Need help please!

I have frontpage 2000 and recently made one of my folders a sub-web
since I wanted to be able to give out certain permissions. I had to go
"live" in order to do that, well- It worked but somehow having
difficulty uploading now. I get this error [Server error- "folder's
name" does not refer to a page or folder in this web. It may be a page
or folder in a subweb, or it maybe be a badly formed URL.] I can
upload but only if I do it "live"- which I don't like to do that.

Also, most of my font's are not working, can someone please help and
point me in some direction- I am fustrated.
I know that I can have mulitple sub-webs with my server but I must be
missing a step or two.

I may only be able to help with the simplest issue - fonts. You say they
"are not working". I assume you mean you're using some "fancy" font and it
doesn't show up as that. If a viewer doesn't have that font loaded on their
ssystem, they won't see it the way you do. Put the "fancy" font in a graphic
and then insert that in your site.

You must also convert the folder within your local web to a subweb as well.

Yes I had a fancy font and I know some of my members could see it on
their pc-but I can't see it all of a sudden, after I converted the
folder into a sub-web

converted the sub- it automatically changed and I don't like it, lol

part of the web you don't like. Plus - who's Vanessa? Is she a relative of
yours?

Generally these fonts are only good for print work or fusing to graphics in
a graphics program. there is no way in the world that people are going to
have these fonts on their machines. and web display was never what they
were intended for.

Don't get me wrong, I love exotic and unusual fonts but for the web (html
content) you've really got to stick with the basics.

I've loaded a "few" graphics apps and I've got a pretty beefy collection ;-)
maybe I should zip the entire font folder and put it in the download
section.

Well, I know that some people won't be able to see my fancy fonts-BUT
that still does not answer my question- What happened to my fonts on
frontpage and how can I get them back :-(

Well, I kept having problmes with my site and now I can't even log in.
I contacted my server and they have to reinstall frontpage but it
asked me to make a backup but they said this:
[You dont have to take a backup of your entire site just take a backup
of your frontpage themes and borders so that frontpage can be
reinstalled.]
Now, I am confused, lol
What do they mean only themes and borders.

You can't just backup the themes, borders and navigation, you have to
publish the complete site to your local computer using FP's http publishing
mode to retain these items, but that is a problem if you can't open the live
site.

However, if you have a local up-to-date copy, then once the host has
re-apply the extensions, do a complete publish, then do a Change Page only
publish.

Thank You! You would think that for 30 bucks a month I pay for my
server they could make it less confusing! lol
Yes, I can't open my site "live"- so basically if I have a local-up-to
