Ok here it is
I have 5 data bases which build a large list of names. Main issue is all 5
build unique names which are used to store data to smaller subgroup items. I
need to build a data base that I can added these smaller subgroups to (to
each name) and it grows and adjusts as each of the 5 main data bases do. The
wizard keeps trying to do this for me but I am soooo lost in what its trying
to do.
I run a query and got 2 of the 5 data base name extracted but it made a
lookup list in the new database and did not add them in the rows, which is
what I need, to get these new subgroups in to the data base. With out filling
all 5 databases with repeating information. See layout below
Database1 Database2 Database3 Database4 Database5
Name group1 Name group2 Namegroup3 Namegroup4 Namegroup5
(Each database, stores information based on its main grouping. which is why
there are 5 of them, each has a unique name in it, which I want to pull out
to build a new data base or have it reference those names to add the new
subgroup information to each name)
So in short I have 5 lists of names I need to add more data to “subgroupsâ€
I want to store all subgroup information in this last database. So I will
have 5 main groups, then 1 subgroup database. I need the last one to build
off the names. Please someone help me I am not sure this can be done, but the
wizard keeps trying too. And all it makes is a lookup list; this is not what
I need.
This is for a warehouse inventory – very large, and got a very large headache
Any help would be great or just point m e down the write road,
