need help requerying a field

I am creating a search form, and I am tyring to code my
form so that after I update a combo box Access runs a
query, and requeries the combo box to be blank. I have
gotten this to work on all of my text fields, but I am
unable to make my date field requery after I update it.
Anyone have any ideas how I am make this combo box empty I
update?
