Save the notebook file to the stick and simply open it from there on
both computers. After it has copied the notebook fully locally
(synchronized it), the stick doesn't have to be plugged in to use
OneNote. You only need to put the stick in when you want OneNote to
synch the notebook to it.

Hi Patrick, on my laptop under Documents there's a folder OneNote Workbook,
I copied and pasted that folder to Documents/ OneNote Workbook on my stick,
but when I make changes to any of the workbooks, and synchronize it either
on the stick, or laptop none of the changes take place even tho it says it
has synchronized.
What am I doing wrong??

Thanks

Are you trying to do this with Windows Offline File Folders (or whatever
it is now called in Vista) or with OneNote itself?
Copy the files to the stick. Then get out of Windows Explorer and don't
touch the files anymore. In OneNote, close the existing notebook. Then
via File, Open Notebook, open the notebook directly from the stick. Wait
till OneNote is done synchronizing. Then you are set.
OneNote will copy the notebook from the stick to a special location on
your harddrive (not the Documents folder!) where it will cache them for
the cases when you don't have the stick in there. When you put the stick
in, it will synch the cached copy with the one stored on the stick.
The only way to verify that synching is working is for you to open the
notebook on a second computer from that stick and see if changes you
make on one computer are correctly shown there and vice versa. There is
no way for you to open the local cached copy directly and compare with
the one on the stick like you have been attempting to do.
