Need help troubleshooting Autoshape Layout issue

I have a documet that has an autoshape that is inserted In Line With Text
(ILWT) throughout the document. Everything was working fine, until an edit
was made to one of the paragraphs an (apostrophe was added) immediately after
the autoshape. Now in every instance of the autoshape where the apostrophe
was added during that edit has shifted below the line! I have tried deleting
and inserting a new copy of the shape, and making a copy from a different
paragraph where the auto shape is still ILWT; but nothing works. A format
reveal shows both paragraphs are formatted identically, but if I copy the
shape form one of the good paragraphs to anywhere within the screwed up
paragraph, the outcome is the same. Does Anyone out there have any ideas?

I'm using Word 2003. THANKS!!!

Have you tried specifying text wrapping of say 'tight' instead of ILWT - it
might not explain the reason for the problem but probably will provide you
with a work around
