First of all - if this is the wrong newsgroup, please tell me which group I
should be using.
I am working on a Win98SE system which is isolated from the Internet (Company
policy), therefore I can not simply download an upgrade directly to the system.
The new software I am trying to install says I need Microsoft .NET Framework.
It offers to install this but then says I need to upgrade Internet Explorer to
5.01 or better.
I have been to the MS download pages and tried several different IE Service
Packs. At least this is what I thought I was downloading.
q299618.exe, q822925.exe, etc. When I run one of these it says I need to have
the Service Pack which I thought I had already gotten.
Does anyone know how to download an upgrade to Internet Explorer that can then
be installed on another system?
Any assistance at all would be appreciated.
