Hi all,
I wasn't sure where to post this, so if it needs to go elsewhere, let me know.
I have an Access 97 mde file that I use as a FE to an Access 97 BE. All the
users that currently use it have no problems, as they all have Access 97.
Now, another department wants to access the DB and I had planned on just
having them download the mde file and use the DB as usual. However, the new
department uses Access 2000 and when it opens the MDE file is asks if user
would like to convert the database or open the database. I didn't anticipate
this, and now I'm not sure how to get around it. I had the user click on
Open the Database, but it produced an error (I haven't found out exactly what
the message is yet).
I certainly don't want them to convert anything, as the Access 97 users need
to continue accessing the BE. I'm not even sure what 'converting' will do?
If anyone can help me out here, I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks,
Jay
