need help w/Admin Install of Office 2k Pro w/Product key using GPO's

I am attempting to create a .msi w/a .mst that will allow me to push
the CD key for Office 2k Pro in an Active Directory environment using
GPO's.

Is this possible? I have followed the instructions for KB 224334
using a "basic UI". However, I still get prompted for the CD-key.
The customizations in the .mst file work just fine....just not the
cd-key.

Does anyone have this working?

I think you need to create an administrative installation of Office. When
you create the administrative installation you will be prompted for the CD
key. Then, when your clients launch the Office programs they will not be
prompted for the key.

Please let me know if you need additional information on creating an
administrative installation of Office.

It sounds like you are using an OEM copy of Office to create your
administrative installation.

If you are not using an OEM copy of Office then you will always be prompted
for the CD key when you create an administrative installation (using Setup
/a).

It is an Admin install but I never get prompted to enter a key.
However I have discovered more info.

If you use the "Basic UI" option, then you don't see the CD-key as a
Domain User. However, if you use the Maximum UI **and** your a
Domain Admin user, the cd-key is displayed. A Domain User just gets
the error.

So, the real question, is can a GPO even be used to deploy Office 2k
Pro with the CD-key for a Domain User ?
