need help w/ formula not very excel smart

Hello-
I would like to be able to type a code into a cell that would paste the text
i would like entered into that cell from another sheet.

Example: type in JS and it would enter Joe Smith OR
type in ARTW1G1 and it would enter Joe attended ART lead by Jane(RCC). The
group learned the SLT skill Helping others.

Is this possible? Thank you

One way you could do it would be by using Autocorrect. Click on Tools |
Autocorrect and then in the Replace: box you could enter JS and in the With:
box type Joe Smith. Similarly for your other codes. Then whenever you type
JS it will get converted automatically.

When you have finished with them, remember to delete these from the list.

don't really get it ussally when people say "auto populate" they are
looking for some sort of vlookup formula
so do you want to type js in a1 and then in b1 joe smith will popluate and
then in c1 OR would popluate
???????????????????
