Need help with a recovery.... please

Hello folks,

I'm stumped by this one... I have a website that I created and didn't have
a backup for. I lost a hard drive and in the process lost the "my webs"
directory. I thought, no big deal, I'll just download it from the internet
into FrontPage and then edit from there.

The problem is my ISP does not have the FP extensions so when I download the
site using FTP then open it up in FrontPage, Frontpage doesn't recognise the
hyperlinks column on the left margin. As an example, the navigation bar
(left) should look something like this one (
http://home.comcast.net/~wade.norton/ ).

Any ideas on how I can recover the navigation bar?

Also of interest, if I use a browser to look at the downloaded (FTP) version
the bar is there. I just can't seem to get FP to identify it.

What am I missing?

Thanks
Wade

Without the FP SE, none of the web components are saved on the server (nav view, etc)
You will have to recreate them

Thanks Stefan,

When you say, "have to recreate them", is there a way to add them to the
copy of the web I downloaded (ftp), or do I need to start from square one
and do a bunch of copy/paste to create a new web?

Thanks again

Wade

View Folder List and View Navigation, then drag your pages from Folder List to nav view

Note:
If the site used shared borders or include pages you must delete the hard coded html for them and reapply them
Also reapply any themes or web substitution parameters
