Need Help with Address Book

T

Terry

In MS Word 2000 when I try to use tools, envelopes/labels
and then use the address book, I get a message that says:
Logon failed, you must logon to MS Exchange to access your
address book. I'm not on a network, and don't know what
this means.

Appreciate some help.

Suzanne;
I apologize for the duplicate post. I am new to
newsgroups. I had previously posted this same item and
gotten no response. I thought perhaps I had posted in the
wrong place. I did not realize that the groups are linked.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

FYI, I have not had the opportunity to try all of the
potential solutions as a result of the KB reference that
you provided. I did run fixmapi.exe with no result.
However I do have Outlook, Outlook Express, and Eudora
installed, with Eudora as the default mail client. I have
Outlook configured as Internet only e-mail option. I
really have no intention of using either Outlook or
Outlook Express, but I would like to be able to use the
addr. book function in MS Word. I am running WinXP which
makes it difficult to uninstall Outlook without
uninstalling the whole MS Office Professional suite which
I have upgraded to SR-1, a time consuming intricate
process in and of itself.

Thx

TC

If you have Outlook installed, I believe you can use the Outlook Contacts
list as an address book in Word. What you can't use is the address book in
Outlook Express.
