need help with crashing issues

I have posted and respond, but I think it has gotten lost or something in
the mix so I thought I would post again. Below is what I have happening and
what has been suggested and what more I have done. Can anyone please assist
me with this?

I am still having issues with this and I did everything everyone mentioned.
Is there anything more I can do? Am also having issues with another program
called Photoshop, but all else on my machine is running as it should, good.
Is really frustrating that I can not fix this or anything.

Run the routines that clear the Hidden web cache files, and Hidden
temporary files. This may help.

Otherwise, run Detect and Repair from the FrontPage help menu.
If this also fails, then remove all your addins/plugins, and reinstall
them one by one and test. It may be an addin, or a combination of addins,
that is causing the problem.

Another possible source for the problem is using a DHTML menu along with
VML graphics (text-boxes, WordArt, ShapeArt, etc.), though this usually
creates an error either when the page is saved, or immediately the page is
opened.

Okay. I took it even further and first did a repair using the CD and then I
did a reinstall and still, it acts up badly. Not sure what else can be done.
However, now, rather than getting the error pop ups, I get nothing except
the MS pop up that asks you to send info to MS and then FP restarts itself.
Very strange behavior and is very annoying. Can some of you please assist me
further as I am at a lose on what else I could do! Would be very much
appreciated!

Should also add that now, none of the plugins are installed.

Get an up to date anti virus program and scan your PC.

Run FrontPage cleaner again, and include the routine that restores
default menus and toolbars, as well as clearing the cache files and
temporary files.
Remove all addins that you may be using.

If the problem occurs with a particular page, post the code from that
page here - open the page in a browser and copy the code from View
Source.

Completely uninstalled and then reinstalled, but still, this keeps
happening. Have tried it on a few pages and it does this to most pages and
there is no commonality as to why. See, the one I do keep opening and trying
different things like resaving with new name or saving elsewhere has never
had problems and other than minor text entry, nothing else has changed with
it. I will post the code for that one below. Should also note that when it
does shut down and shows the error thing from my last post and then
restarts, the recent files goes blank as though it dumped it. So now, since
I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I am completely lost. This is crazy as I
have never ever had a problem like this and have gone into this much depth
to try and fix to only come up short-handed. I ain't a computer newbie, but
am really lost as to why this is happening and how to fix. PLEASE HELP!!??

Okay. tried one other thing it so far, it seems to have worked. What I did
was I took the html file which I knew was consistently (the one I posted the
code for in my previous post) crashing in FP2003 and went to code view and
did a select all and then copied that. I then did a new, blank document and
pasted the code in there and then saved it within the same folder, but with
different name and now, it is not crashing at all. How and why is this or
can it be? Am I going to have to do this for all of them that are crashing?
Am really perplexed as to how this happened and it has been really annoying.
Anyone know what causes this and how to avoid it? Feel a little better that
I know how to fix, but am not sure why it is or has happened and all. Please
assist!?!? Thanks much!

Alright, upon further testing this thing as I posted in my last post about
what fixes it temporarily about cutting and pasting the code and renaming it
to something else works fine. But then if I try to save it back to the file
it was named as originally, it then crashes again as mentioned previously.
Going into properties for the file, there is nothing shown abnormal for it
so am not sure why this is happening.If I open that file that I created from
cutting and pasting, it inherits the crashing issue. But, upon further
exploration, if I do the same, cut and paste into a newly named file and
just leave it at that name, it is fine. But because I can not do that as I
would have to reroute all the names and redirects and whatnot on various
sites I have created and that would be a nightmare. So now, what I did was
to completely delete that file from which I copied the original code from
and pasted into new blank htm page, then I am able to save it rather than
save over to the file name it once was with no issues.

I hope this all makes sense and please excuse me for all of the post.
However, this does not explain why or how this is happening in the first
place. I believe I have correctly documented what all I have done and what
has happened. With that, I am hoping that some of you can give me some
answers.

Now, I have one fixed and now have to do it to all as I update the pages.
Unless of course someone can tell me why and how this is happening so I can
correct it in mass!

What is the name of, and path to, the file?
Before you rename a file that works to a name that fails remove all web
cache files and temporary files - these may still hold information about
the broken file that causes FP to crash.

Did you deal with the virus mentioned on the links I gave you?

Dealing with the issue again tonight, it seems all bets are off in terms of
what works and what doesn't. The path to my files have been the same for the
last three years and there has been no issues. I do not use FP2003's whole
"web" deal, I just use FP2003 to create the pages. Anyhow, the path for
these are:

D:\Web\My Sites

And then underneath there, I have the sites of which I work in like:

D:\Web\My Sites\Hot Wheels

I have yet to try the other idea you have about removing info from cache and
soforth when renaming and all. Will try that tomorrow night.

I did run my anti-virus and in fact installed another and ran that and all
is good and clean.

While I am not having any issues that I have noticed with my MS Office 2003
files, is FP2003 connected with Office? If so, should I try a repair there?

All this still does not explain why or how this started happening. Just out
of the blue it started this and the story never seems to end! LOL! Any other
suggestions?

the web come short of anything relavent. Wish this would just fix! Thanks
