Need help with field. "Changed by"

I'm using the field "changed by" for tracking the last person to close a
particular task. The field is placing the default email account name instead
of the last user to change the task. Can anyone help? I have this working
on one account but can't duplicate it on another. I've done my dilligence,
comparing "known" settings and searching for answers... I'm frustrated but
that's another story

Thanks for reply... Pressing F9 in task list view or in actual task, I get
message "Sorry, you have to configure offline folder first." ?
