Need help with inserting one document into another

I've been working at this for a month & finally giving in and asking for
help. I am doing a newsletter and want to insert a pdf file that I converted
back to a doc. Every time I think I have it finished, when I convert the
whole thing back to a pdf and email it out, depending on what I've screwed
up, it either comes with just a link to the doc on my computer OR the
inserted doc shows only 1/2 what it should (the inserted doc has 2 columns.
Also, I guess because the inserted doc is 2 columns, it makes the page so
much wider than the preceding pages... subsequent pages keep the same wide
style.
Going in circles, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

PDF files are graphical representations of the documents from which they
were created and are not intended to be converted back to documents. Acrobat
itself can make a stab at the job, but tends to format using a raft of
frames which makes re-editing very difficult. You can get better results
with good OCR software, but ultimately you are going to have to re-edit to
fit your document.

You may find http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/LandscapeSection.htm and
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/CleanWebText.htm useful.

If you don't need to re-edit, insert the (only the first page will display)
PDF file as an object.

Thanks Graham,

I will check out the links that you so kindly sent.
If necessary, the good old OCR may have to do.
