Need Help with MS Office 2007 Pro Help (*.chm) Files

Can someone who has MS Office 2007 Pro look in their directory:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\1033

and tell me how big the file OFMAIN11.CHM is? Mine is 0 bytes as are most
of the *.chm files. Do you have any files ending in ***12.chm? I posted
earlier about Help (F1) not working and am trying to determine the cause.
Thanks.

Hi Mark,

MS Office went from Microsoft Windows Help (.HLP) files to Microsoft HTML Help (v1.x - .CHM) (Compiled HTML Help) files with Office
2000. With Office 2007 they moved on again, this time using MS Help v2.0 file types:

..HXC (Compiled Help Collection Definitions),
..HXK (Help Index Files)
..HXS (Help Compiled Storage) .
..HXT (Help Table of Contents)

Is it just the F1 key (which could be a remapping or different keyboard definition in play) or does clicking on the Blue question
mark icon in Word 2007, for example also not do anything?

When I click on the ? for help files, or press F1, I get the following error
message:

"There is a problem with one or more help files. Please repair your Office
installation and try again."

I have repaired and reinstalled to no avail. Happens with all MS Office
apps. Any suggestions?

Apparently this isn't a common problem, atleast for these groups, since Bob
provided the only response. Thanks Bob. I did find a few others on Google
who reported the same problem and many others with similar problems. I
managed to fix my problem by Reseting my Internet Explorer settings (right
click IE, Advanced tab, Reset...). Hopefully this will help others since
Google will capture this post in its archive.
