Need Help with Office Word Viewer 2003

Antony Woodhams

Hi,

I really need some help with Office Word Viewer 2003. What I need to do is
to disable or remove the "Open For Editing" menu item. Is there a startup
switch or a registry setting or something that I can use to do this? I would
be really grateful for any help.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Antony,

The 'open for Editing' choice is available if Word
is on the PC. The MS Word viewer is designed for
people who have no software other than MS Windows
Wordpad but there isn't a registry setting in the
viewer to tell it to not see MS Word.
You could, I suppose 'break' Word by changing
the name of Word or use some security settings
in Windows to make it not available separately.
