Need help with Outlook personal folder setup.

Recently updated Office Pro 2000. Now receive message related to Personal
Folder that this information service has not been configured and to select
existing file. Clicking on OK goes to 'create/open Personal Folders. When
choosing outlook.pst (only file listed) receive message that file is not
compatible with version of Personal Folders. My goal is to get rid of this
message. Any suggestions? Thanks.
