Need install disk but laptop pre-configured

Have Office 2000 pre-loaded on laptop given by work. I want to install the updates (not upgrade). There are no application backup disks. THe only way to access application updates that I can see is by completely re-imaging the entire machine, bringing it back to original factory specs and losing 2 years worth of data

It was a customized image created by manufacturer to specs by the state of Michigan (I'm a teacher)

Any ideas?
