Need Javascript help for Frontpage

B

Beverly-Texas

Hello,

Hoping someone can help me clean up some code... Please see the site I am
creating at www.pathfinderautomation.com. The blending slideshow images on
the homepage was done via Javascript but I don't want the image to be a link.
You'll notice when you rollover it, you get a cursor as if it's a link but
an error when you try to click on it. I don't want it to be a link - just a
slideshow. Can someone tell me how to change it?

Thanks,
Beverly

Switch to html view.
Search for <a href="javascript:gotoshow()"> and delete it.

Can't see what your particular problem is ...but the images don't "blend" -
they just load one after the other.

Another thing....can you length the duration between images? on my dialup
connection the images change BEFORE the previous one has even finished
loading!

I used to have a 'fade-in/fade-out' type script that used to show images in
a slideshow type format I think I got the script from

On an ADSL connection (256k), they blend quite nicely, i.e. fade in and fade
out.

I have read on this NG and elsewhere that these effects are limited to IE
Explorer. I must admit that they work very nicely in this context. Anyway,
although I had a blend effect on my website, I removed for consistency.

What do others think?
