Need more characters in my cell

I am using one of the columns on my spreadsheet for comments after about
1,000 characters the words no longer wrap in the cell. How can I fix this?

If you add alt-enters every 80-100 characters to force new lines within the
cell, you'll see more than those 1000 characters.

After about 1,000 character enter a hard return inside the cell (ALT-ENTER).

This will keep the text both visible and wrapped.
