I posted a question yesterday and received a very good answer (initial
question and answer are below), but I need more help with this
situation. I received a document from someone, and I am making
changes to the document. The document from someone has balloons on
the right hand side of the page, and in the balloons are the words
"deleted" and "inserted" followed by what was deleted and what was
inserted prior to my receiving the document.
I want to be able to show what was inserted and what was deleted, but
all I get in my balloons after editing the document is either the
deleted text or the inserted text (depending on whether I view final
markup or original markup). How can I get the balloons to show BOTH
inserted and deleted text like it showed when I received it from my
friend?
Prior thread:
Hi Teddy,
If you are viewing "Final Showing Markup" then the inserted text is
visible in the document - there is no need to display a Balloon for
something you can see.
Whereas the deleted text is removed from the document and a Balloon
will display text that is no longer visible in the document.
When you view "Original Showing Markup" then the reverse applies.
Deleted text is visible in the document and inserted text is not.
If you want to review all changes then perhaps the Reviewing pane will
accomplish what you need. Either that or you can turn the Balloons off
and view deletions and insertions in the document instead of Balloons.
