I have a template that has a separate sheet for each month. Each sheet
is identical, aside from the month and the data that needs to be input.
Each month, new data is released, in the exact same format. Ideally, I
would like to be able to have an open/get file prompt, select the given
months data through the open prompt, and have it populate the sheets in
the workbook. Once it is referenced though, I would like it to stop
prompting for data.
So far, I have input formulas that prompt for data, for instance
='Sheet1'!A34, with no Sheet1 existing in the template. Excel then
prompts to find Sheet1, in which case I choose a month, January for
instance, and it correctly populates my sheet. However, it prompts me
to find "Sheet1" every time I open the workbook. If I hit cancel, the
data previously stored shows up, but I would like for the prompt to go
away after the first time the data is pulled. Is there any way to do
this?
