need rule that will run once (when criteria is met) then stop runn

Hello, I am looking to run a rule on incoming messages that will run only
once when certain criteria are met. This rule is running a local link that
is restarting a report server, and I need it to only run once (until I reset
it or something). We get over 1000 messages that are all errors, and I don't
want the rule to try to reboot the server 1000 times, only once (the first
time a message meets the criteria).

Is there any way to currently run that, i'm using the latest version of
outlook-2007.

I wouldn't recommend that kind of usage of Outlook unless it was for some
sort of test as this kind of automation could lead to many more issues than
you are describing now. Assuming that you are still checking if it is indeed
an error that you reboot the server, you can change the criteria to check
for some long random string that you send in an email instead of on
automated error messages. This will put you back in control.

Otherwise, consider using proper server management tools; a mail client
shouldn't be used for that.
