Need Some Info

Can anyone answer this one:
Just got a new HP a620n with Microsoft Office 2003
installed on it. I have a Microsoft Office Professional
2000 Teacher and Student Edition and don't want to shell
out another $150.00, not cheap just smart. Here's what I
need to know: Do I uninstall Office 2003 and install
Office 2000, or can I just pop it in the CD drive and let
the machine do its thing. If someone knows please
advise. Thanks, Dan

The short answer is that if you don't plan to use Office 2003, then uninstall
it before you try to install Office 2000. If you want both versions on your
computer, you should install Office 2000 first, which means you'll have to
uninstall Office 2003, but then you won't be able to reinstall Office 2003
because it's an OEM trial version. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=828956 "Information about running multiple
versions of Office with Office 2003" for more info.
