Do you want a password protected PowerPoint file available for download?

If so, create a folder on your website server, i.e., name it downloads

Upload the PowerPoint file into the downloads folder.

Before you can go any farther you will need to chat with the Support folks
of the ISP for instructions to password protect the downloads folder.

A simpler solution would be if PowerPoint files have the capability to be
password protect you then could just password protect the file. The downside
would be everyone would be able to download the file and maybe break the
password protection. If you wish to endure this risk, do the above where
you create the downloads folder; upload the PowerPoint file.

Now on you webpage use either text or an image create a link to the file,
i.e.,

Using a word; Download Secret File here.

Select the word (or the entire line) with the mouse, select Insert,
Hyperlink from the Menu bar.

Enter the path, i.e., http://www.mydomane.com/downloads/PP.pps

If you want the file to open automatically after downloading change the file
extension from pps to ppt.
