Need to automatically link to another ppt file.

The last slide in my ppt has a hyperlink to another person's ppt. How can I
automate the transition so I don't have to click the hyperlink? When I reach
my last slide, I want it to automatically trigger the link, close my ppt and
open the next ppt.

Can I use the hyperlink or do I need some type of scripting so that when I
leave the next-to-the-last slide, it will close the current ppt and open the
next ppt? I have no scripting experience.

Thanks,
Jim

It shouldn't be too difficult, but I'll try to keep it simple. Create a
rectangle (AutoShape) covering the entire last slide.

If you are using PowerPoint 2003:
Right-click it, then Action Settings, then Mouse Over, then Hyperlink from
there.

If you are using PowerPoint 2007:
Click the rectangle, then the Insert tab, then Action, then Mouse Over, and
insert the hyperlink from there.

I hope this helped.

That seemed simple enough but didn't work. I'm using PPt 2003. I set up the
mouse-over hyperlink property on the autoshape, but it doesn't fire the
event. I set up the mouse-click hyperlink property and it does work. I
tried adding a sound to the mouse-over property but that didn't work either.

Is there some configuration setting that disables the "mouse-over" property?
