Need to count highlighted emails in Outlook

In any box, lets just say the Inbox.
I have 100 emails. I only need to highlight 25 of them.
Does outlook tally or count the 25 I have highlighted?

I need it to return a number and this number is different from
total items in the box or total unread.

Thanks.

No such total is built in, but you could write some VBA code to count for you.
