Need to create a "Help/How to" demo on our Intranet site

I'm new to the community, so hopefully I'm in the right place for this
question...

We would like to find a product that will help us record a live demo on
several “how do I…?â€. We would like to make this tutorial available on the
Intranet so that users can simply click on “how do I enter a purchase orderâ€
(for example) and the tutorial will show them a live demonstration on how to
accomplish this process. Can OneNote do this? If not, does anyone know of a
product we can use for this task? Thank you!

OneNote doesn't do screen recordings, but it does do static screen grabs. I
would recommend using either SnagIt or Camtasia (both from TechSmith) for
this.

Kathy, you are a modest one! I suggest you post the location of your recent
excellent friendly and accessible (to techie and non-techie alike) on-line
session about OneNote. It might act as a good model for support of that kind
of process change. You might know other examples with other technologies. I
may choose to foster this kind of technology uptake at my elementary school,
so I love seeing all the possibilities.

Forgive me if this doesn't fit your current sense of a best practice for
such a task, but I liked your friendly tone and sense that "Yes, you can do
this... it will be worthwhile and easy enough.."

Thank you for these wonderful words... They are much appreciated. I do have
a couple of video tutorials available on the TechSmith Blog and am always
trying to find time to do more for my own blog and site. I did do a video
based OneNote class for one of the major providers, but they never ended up
making it available.

Thanks a million for your response! We were able to get a 30-day free demo
for this. We are testing it now to see if it works for our users. Great tip,
and thanks again!

I'd use Adobe Captivate for recording the screen and making a peppy
Flash demo. SnagIt or Camtasia are not as peppy, IMO.
