Need to create macro that replaces all content within parentheses

E

Emilio

Hello, I need to create a macro (or will gladly listen to a different
way to do things.) I have a text with worthless clauses inside
parentheses, and I want to remove them within the text. I need to
remove both the content and the parentheses that envelops it.

There are several instances of these across several documents, so I
just need to do it by macro. Thanks!

Find and Replace may be possible. Are you saying that you want to get rid of
all text within parentheses?

Yes, even the parentheses themselves. I've looked for answers in
search and replace, but once a parentheses is added, they don't work.

A wildcard search for \(*\) that you replace with nothing should work.

Did you remember to select the "Use wildcards" option in the Find and
Replace dialog box? To see this option, you will have to click the More
button to expand the dialog.

Actually, I was coming back to tell you that I had forgotten to do
just that. It worked, thanks for your patience.
