Need to download my outlook calendar, email folders

I have Vista operating system and I bought a new phone with windows. I
need to have my appointments sync'd to my phone. The sync disc that came with
it is not compatible with my Vista laptop. I need to know how to make a copy
of my outlook calendar, contacts, and email messages and folders. Then I can
download/copy to my XP desktop and sync with my phone.

After furious head scratching, Organizer asked:

If the phone is Windows Mobile based connect it to your PC and run Windows
Update to obtain Windows Mobile Device Center.
