Need to downsize document that takes up entire desktop

I'm an online transcriptionist and got on an assignment platform recently.
The template document takes up my entire computer desktop and I can't make it
smaller. I tried clicking on the resize space at the top right but that makes
no difference. The side and bottom margins don't turn into two-ended arrows.
I need to make the documents smaller so I can see other things on my desktop.
Any suggestions?
