We are using Outlook 2003/Windows XP, SP2. Recently, we needed to change
all of our e-mail signatures to an italized font. I changed mine and
everything was fine, but went to change my bosses, and when I did, the
underlining and color was removed from the hyperlink to his e-mail address.
When I open editing to fix it, it appears to be there, so I saved it and went
back, and when I hit "new" for a new message, it is not there. When I open
advanced editing, it is not Word, it is html opening in what appears to be
notepad. I checked the boxes to use word as the e-mail editor, but still
could not get word to open to edit the signatures, so I changed everything
to rich text, which got word to open so I could make the signatures to look
right, but then two hours later, they changed back. I can't get Word to work
as his e-mail and advanced settings editor even if I check the boxes to use
Word under the Options, Mail format tab - unless I check rich text . My Mail
format is HTML with Word as the editor, and it is fine. I don't know how to
get the hyperlinks back into his signatures, and now, after switching to rich
text, none of his attachments work correctly. How can I find out what his
html editor is, and how can I edit those html signatures if I don't know
html? Mine don't display that way, so I'm not sure what to do. Thank you.
