Need to find the Product Key of an already installed item..

At my work site we have done a very bad job of keeping track of which disks we have used and which ones we havent. I know we have enough but the problem is I do not want to install 5 of the same version of Office XP Pro on some computers when we have more than 5 additional disks available. Is it possible to figure out which CD Registration Code was used in an initial install??? I want to match this to the actual ones on the back of the disk... So that we can manage the items and know who has what and where..
