Need to get User1 value from outlook explorer prior to delete

I am trying to get the User1 field (or any field)of a contact when the
user clicks on the Delete button on the Explorer Menu in Outlook. I'm
already getting the button clicked event from the menu, but having
trouble getting any reference to the item they are deleting. Looking
for a CurrentItem or something to tell me which item the user is trying
to delete.

Using Outlook 2003 And VB.Net 2005

Problem resolved. I used the Selection Object.
