Need to Import FTP file into Access

I'm very GREEN regarding FTP's and the like. But I need
any guidance you can share in regards to a flat file that
is ftp'd to the web.

We have data that one of our areas are taking directly
from a mainframe system and then placing on the web.
What I need to get my head around is "Is there a way, if
given access to this flat file, to import this data into
Access 2002 and work with the data without having to go
through the web site?

PLEASE HELP!!

If you have access to the file, you should be able to read it into Access.

Unlike the old DOS days, FTP is a lot simpler. Open the FTP site in Internet
Explorer and drag and drop to your local machine.

FTP is actually quite simple. There aren't that many commands involved.
You can use code to run it inside Access:

or

Or you can manually use it in IE to get to an FTP site and then drag the
file to your desktop.
