I need to import a Works.wdb file into Excel. I have Office 2000 small
business. I don't have Access. Is there a way to open or convert this wdb
file into Excel 2000?

Neither Excel nor Access can open a native-format Works .wdb file. If
you have Works, you can use Works to open the .wdb file and "save as" to
one of the formats supported by Excel. These formats include dBase III
and dBase IV (.dbf), unformatted comma delimited text (.csv), and ascii
unformatted tab-delimited text (.txt).

I knew I could save as to a different file but was not sure which one is
supported by Excel. I tried dBaseIII, but it did not import all the
information. I opted to copy and paste the contents of Works into Excel. So
simple. I had no idea it would paste into the columns. DUH thanks
