Need to know how long to intall each new download

I always install the downlaods. They never estimate how long it will take (
current download has taken 30 min so far & not done ) . Message says you can
continue working while downloading - system always hangs during download -
very frustrating

Depends mostly on the PC you are using, faster PC's take less time. Bad
connection takes forever.
