Need to know level of security for user

I have a secured database in which only I have admin rights so other users cannot modify the underlying tables. I have a shortcut created which allows me to sign in using a different workgroup in order to modify the data. The default admin is in the users group so that the other users don't have to sign in. All other users have the same rights. I want to import some data from a query into Excel for a user to be able to update a daily report. What are the minimum rights that I have to grant to a user in order for them to be able to import this data?
