Echo S said:If you need to nudge an entire textbox, select the textbox (click the edge
of it) and press the arrow keys on your keyboard.
If you need to nudge a line of text closer to another line, use the line
spacing tools. How you do this depends on which version of PPT you're
using.

You can also move text boxes, pictures, etc. by clicking and dragging with
the Alt key held down. The Alt key temporarily turns off the snap to
guides feature and you can then move an object pixel by pixel (if you have
it zoomed in to a high enough setting.)
Snap to guide can be turned off in '97-03 by clicking View, Grid and
Guides, then uncheck the boxes and then click OK. For '07 click
Arrange, Align, Grid Settings then turn off the check box and then OK.
These setting would be for only this presentation unless you also click
Set as Default and accept any challenge to the change.

Ah, thanks. I always turn the Snap off, so I forget about it!

Yes, unfortunately the snap to is turned on by default. I normally forget
to turn it off on a new machine until I need to move something by just one
pixel and them WAM, BAM it hits me in the head like a rock. Hey, maybe
that's why I forget!
