Need to recover my Outlook contacts and emails

All of my icons and the Start button disappeared on my computer so I put my
hard drive into my son's computer as a slave. I am able to see everything on
the drive and have transferred my docs to the new hard drive but cannot
figure out how to restore/access it. Outlook is installed on my son's
computer and set up under my account - what do I do to get my 300 contacts
and thousands of emails back??

transfer all .pst files to the new drive and then open them from within
Outlook using File | Open | outlook data file. They are hidden files so
take care when searching for them!
