need to revert to earlier version of common controls in office 200

I have been doing some programming in VBA in powerpoint, and am using some
common controls. However the controls I have in office 2003 (SP2) are all
Version 6.0, and due to some compatibility issues I need Version 5.0! but I
don't know how to get them :( Version 5.0 common controls apparently do come
with Service Pack 2, but I don't seem to have them as I think they must have
been updated. I have a feeling you can't uninstall an update to office, do I
have to uninstall office completely then install it back with an earlier
service pack? any advice would be gratefully received, I am not a natural
with computers!
