Need Two Autonumber Fields In One Table

I am trying to construct a table that has two fields that
need to be incremented after each record is inserted. I
have the autonumber function set for the 'record id'.
The other is a 'call number' field. Does anyone know of
a way set the default for such a field to one more than
in the previous record? Thanks.
