Need two records to merge onto one page

I have a one-page document, set up as a 2-up notecard. I
need for record 1 *and* record 2 to merge into the
document on the same page. I've tried using section
breaks, but it keeps merging the data from record #1 onto
page one *twice* (at top and bottom)... then record #2
onto page two twice, etc.
