Need your help.

One of our old application on MS Access, the front end of it is developed on
MS Access forms & Reports are bound to Access DB. The database resides in
Access DB & the size has grown to 400+ MB (Excluding the linked DB size).
The number of records in that has crossed 9 Lakhs.

Hence even the performance has degraded & taking lot of time for any report
generation or transaction.

With the above scenario, I have few questions :

1. Do we stand any possibility of database crash in near future?

2. What might be the possible ways of getting out of this issue, without
affecting it's presently running functionalities?

3. What might be the breathing time I have to come out of this issue?

Please advice,

Gary

Your questions aside, my first recommendation would be the following:
Make a backup copy of the file which has grown to 400+ MB.
Compact and repair the original file.
See if that improves the performance.
