Needing Direction

I'm considering creating my first database in Access 2003 and I am still
learning how to use it. I would be taking inventory of my belongings in my
home for insurance purposes. I would need to include photos as well. I would
like to be able to export the database to html and saved to a CD rom so that
I can just mail it to my insurance company and all they have to do is open up
the html file and walla, they have a list of everything with images visible
in the form. I wouldn't mind that it could be search as well. Such as a drop
box on the form that you can change what field to search by and then the
empty box out to the side. Maybe someone already created this database? I
don't know. I did look around the MS templates website and didn't find
anything that matched what I was looking for. Maybe someone knows of some
good access template websites?? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried looking at the templates available on the microsoft website?

There is a home inventory template there. You will have to modify it to do
what you are asking, but it should get you started...

I just submitted a suggestion on that template telling Microsoft that it
would be great if they built in links to digital photos and displayed them
on the forms/reports.

I think that is a great idea!

Thanks. I like the look that access gives when exported to html, but the
image thing is the major issue. I'm reading the dummies book for access right
now. I just don't want to dive way to far into access, simply because I don't
really need it for anything else.
