Needing to buy Access 2003

When I bought my Gateway computer, I got Microsoft Office XP Small Business Edition 2002. It comes with outlook, publisher, word and excel. However, I now need to get Access 2003. Can I just buy the Access 2003 Upgrade disk or do I need to buy the whole version?

Yes, Office XP Small Business Edition is listed as eligible for upgrade, however, there is no version of Access contained therein. I went to Staples to buy the upgrade of Access 2003 but they told me that I would actually need an earlier version of Access. They told me that they would not refund my money if it didn't work as well, so I just wanted to ask to make sure.
