Hi,

Is it possible have two nested projects in Microsoft Project Server
2003?

I mean, when a team member modifies the completed percentage of one
activity and it affects to the completed percentage of some project's
phase, represented like another activity in project A, i want this
completed percentage affects other completed percentage in project B.

Thanks,

It is possible to set cross-project dependencies between projects so that
the Start dates or Finish dates of tasks in one project will impact those in
the other project, but is it not possible to do what you want to do. Hope
this helps.

Can you set cross-project dependencies between projects with different
project owners?

Yes, but this will cause problems if you use the default security
permissions in Project Server, which only allow each PM to see his own
projects and not those managed by other managers. If you need to set
cross-project dependencies across projects managed by different owners, I
would recommend that you change the security settings so that all members of
the Project Managers group can see one another's projects. To do this,
complete the following steps:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click Admin - Manage users and groups
3. Click the Groups link in the sidepane on the left
4. Select the Project Managers group and click the Modify Group button
5. In the Categories section, select the My Organization category
6. In the Permissions grid of the Categories section, set the Open Project
and Save Project permissions to Allow
7. Click the Save Changes button

Hope this helps.
