Nesting Distribution Lists in Outlook XP

I recently "upgraded" from Outlook 2000 to Outlook XP client. I had nested distribution lists (distribution lists inside other distribution lists, such as the ADMIN list contained the Accounting and IT lists and others) so that a change to one list would also affect the parent list.
They worked fine in Outlook 2000, but now I get error messages in Outlook XP, that the "The following recipient(s) could not be reached:" followed by a child distribution list name. The error is coming from the Exchange 2000 server.
Any help would be appreciated. My client is running on Windows XP OS.
