If you are not on an Exchange Server, then you are using a PST file. Only one
user can be connected to a PST file at any one time. So, in your case, it is
not possible to share an Outlook calendar folder.

Thanks Paul, I do understand the .pst file somewhat, but the MS site/book
instructions for sharing a Net folder describe that you can, indeed that is
what a net folder is for, giving you the ability to share a Net Calendar if
you are not on an Exchange Server. I think it may be a missing file not
installed in the receiver's computer as I had to instal additional files in
mine to enable me to create a shared Net folder in the first place. I am
nearly there, Any more ideas?

Only the usual of making sure you are up-to-date on the SPs of your computer.

I have never heard of a Net calendar in a Net Folder being accessible to
Outlook, so I am not any help on the subject. I had assumed that we were
talking about Outlook calendars and Outlook files. You might want to see what
you can find on either www.slipstick.com or www.outlook-code.com.

Net Folders, which were discontinued after OUtlook 2000, are notoriously buggy and unreliable. You'll find some troubleshooting tips at http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/netfolders.htm but I wouldn't set my expectations very high.

FYI, you posted in a programming forum and might have received more information faster if you'd posted in the microsoft.public.outlook.calendaring group.

Thanks for your reply, I will give Net folder a miss. Can you suggest any way
an organisation of about 10 staff can share a calendar without an Exchange
Server?
Cheers
